25 Stevie Wonder Quotes That Will Open Up Your Heart

Stevie Wonder (original name Stevland Hardaway Morris) is an American musical genius and a former child prodigy. His work turned him into one of the most successful and popular figures in the history of music.

Because he was born six weeks premature, Wonder suffered from an eye disorder called retinopathy of prematurity. The condition caused the retinas to detach, leading to blindness.

The singer showed an early passion for music. He used to sing in his church choir and by the age of 10, he taught himself to play instruments such as the harmonica, piano and drums.

At the age of 11, Wonder sang his own composition in an audition after which Berry Gordy signed him to Motown's Tamla label. He quickly became known as Little Stevie Wonder and his remarkable talent led to an amazing music career.

In addition to his impressive body of work, Wonder is also known as an activist for civil rights. He used music to tackle social issues, raise money for different causes and encourage people to love and respect one another.

Here are 25 Stevie Wonder quotes that will teach you to see with your heart:

We know the things that are not good and are right. Those things that we know are wrong, we've got to fix them.

Ya gots to work with what you gots to work with.

Music, at its essence, is what gives us memories. And the longer a song has existed in our lives, the more memories we have of it.

The Lord that I serve says the impossible is unacceptable.

25 Great Immanuel Kant Quotes on Pure Reason and Morality

Immanuel Kant (22 April, 1724 – 12 February, 1804) was a great German philosopher of the Enlightenment Era. His most popular work is the Critique of Pure Reason . Before becoming a full professor at the University of Konigsberg he worked as a tutor while exploring the middle ground between rationalism and empiricism . Kant argues that humans only believe in the things that are sure to exist; things we’ve seen or touched. In reality, there are many other things out there that remain unknown to us yet, but that doesn’t make them less real. Kant focused on ethics and morals and the way they affect our reasoning . He proposed a moral law called the “categorical imperative” -- an unconditional obligation often known as the principle of universalizability. According to it, one cannot make exceptions for oneself if one claims to be moral. Once we accept a wrongdoing by blaming circumstances, we make it a universally acceptable act. We aren't all philosophers, but we can
